GuardianServices and ERP protection

A green light
should mean something.

A practical approach to monitoring supported systems, taking authorised recovery steps and checking the result.

In active development. Protection depends on the systems configured and the actions authorised.

A deliberate sequence

Observe. Decide. Act. Verify.

Finding a problem and sending an alert are only part of the story. Recovery needs boundaries, and the result needs checking.

  1. 01

    Observe

Check the configured component and record what can actually be established.

  2. 02

    Decide

Use the agreed rules to decide whether action is appropriate and permitted.

  3. 03

    Act

Take the authorised step within its defined scope, rather than improvise a remedy.

  4. 04

    Verify

Observe again. An action being attempted does not prove that the problem is resolved.

Clarity when it matters

“Unknown” is useful information.

If a system cannot be observed, that is different from knowing it is healthy. If an observation is old, its age matters.

The distinction we design around

Observed healthy

A check has evidence behind it.

Needs attention

The observation indicates a problem or uncertainty.

Not established

Missing or stale evidence is not a clean bill of health.

Conceptual examples, not live system status

Resilience with responsibility

Local protection.
Explicit permission.
Visible outcomes.

Guardian’s direction is to preserve useful local protection when an external connection is unavailable, while keeping the limits of that protection clear.

Will Guardian restart anything it finds?

No. Recovery must be deliberately configured and authorised for the supported component. The person responsible for the environment defines those boundaries.

Does a completed action mean recovery succeeded?

No. Guardian’s operating principle is to check the condition again. The outcome of a command and the health of the system are different facts.

What can Guardian protect?

The focus is supported business software components and services, including work around ERP environments. Scope must be checked for your installation; this is not a promise to monitor or repair every system.

Can we install it immediately?

Please contact us first. Guardian is in active development, and commissioning needs an agreed scope, a responsible administrator and a way to prove the configured behaviour.

Protection where it is needed

From everyday services
to ERP environments.

Guardian is designed for support departments and engineers responsible for keeping customer servers and business software operational.

Configured protection can cover print spoolers, Remote Desktop Services and sessions, IIS and ERP-specific services. The available checks and automatic recovery actions depend on the component, the supported configuration and the authority granted.

The aim is fewer interruptions from stopped services, freezes and recurring failures, with a clear record of what was observed and what action followed.
